Heat exchangers can be found in various type of geometric configuration like plate type, spiral and scrapped surface but tubular heat exchanger is one of the most common type of heat exchanger used in process industry. In its basic form it consists of concentric stainless-steel tubes creating annular spaces for fluid to flow in counter current direction. Most common form can be seen as double tube and triple-tube design depending on the product and required heat transfer. These types of heat exchangers are found not only in normal heating and cooling applications but also in industrial processes like regeneration and pasteurization.
